Jordan Ruggeri: Youth Program Director
Coach Ruggeri comes to Austin High Lacrosse / Austin Youth Lacrosse after spending the last year as Assistant Youth Program Director and Assistant Coach for Westlake High School. Prior to his time at Westlake, the Connecticut native served as Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach at NCAA Division I Bellarmine University in Louisville and NCAA Division III Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where he worked with each program's defense and face-off units.
Coach Ruggeri’s first experience with lacrosse in Texas was as Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator of Bowie High School in Austin, where he helped the Bulldogs to the state tournament while mentoring the program's first NCAA Division I lacrosse player.
As a collegian, Ruggeri was a defensive starter and team captain for NCAA Division II Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he earned a B.A. in Psychology and a Master’s in School Counseling. Ending his playing career as Assumption’s all-time leader in forced turnovers and forced turnovers per game, Ruggeri also finished in Assumption’s Top 10 career list for ground balls per game. He later served as Assistant Coach for his alma mater, helping to guide the Greyhounds to their first-ever post season appearance after winning more regular season games than any team in Assumption lacrosse history.
Ruggeri began his coaching career while red-shirting at Assumption due to injury, serving as Varsity Assistant Coach and Defensive Coordinator for Wachusett Regional High School in the nearby Massachusetts town of Holden. U.S. Lacrosse named Coach Ruggeri its “Man of the Year” for Central Massachusetts in 2007.
Kevin was a defenseman for Division I Mount St. Mary's in Emmitsburg, Maryland and is currently a varsity assistant coach at Austin High School. Kevin comes to Austin High Boys Lacrosse from California after serving as a Varsity Assistant Coach / Defensive Coordinator at Carlsbad High School and, before that, as the JV Head Coach / Varsity Assistant at Trabuco Hills High School in Trabuco Hills, California.
A native of New Fairfield, CT, he helped his high school team secure an undefeated season and Connecticut state championship before becoming a starter on defense for a top DIII program, Colby College. After graduating Brendan went on to serve as an assistant coach during the fall at DIII Vassar College in NY before accepting a job and moving to Austin.
Coach Tidmore is currently a JV assistant coach at Austin High School and has coached Austin Youth Lacrosse (formerly WAYL) for over seven years. A graduate of the University of Texas where he played competitively for the Longhorns, Todd learned to play while growing up in the lacrosse hotbed of Wilton, CT.
Coach Chaffee began his playing career at St. Joseph High School in Trumbull, Connecticut where he was a starting midfielder and captain of the lacrosse team. He went on to be a four-year member of the Assumption College men's lacrosse team, where he rotated between long stick midfielder and defensive midfielder, and received All-Academic honors in his senior year. Coach Chaffee served as a coach for Future Stars Lacrosse Academy in CT, instructing both youth and high school levels.
After graduating from Assumption, Coach Chaffee moved to the Boston area and became a coach for Brookline Youth Lacrosse. Most recently, he was head coach of the 8th grade SWALA Tigers, and a defensive assistant at Bowie High School for the JV and varsity programs. Coach Chaffee also served as the the assistant director and defensive coordinator for the Marquee Lacrosse program.

Chris grew up in San Antonio, TX where he played for Saint Mary's Hall and received All-State and All-Discrict honors over his career as a midfielder/attackman while helping his team capture 3 straight Texas State Championships. He went on to play MCLA lacrosse at Texas Tech University before returning to his alma-mater coaching the Saint Mary's Hall team to reach the Texas State Championship.
Dani Kunz: Girl's 1st - 4th Grade Coach
Coach Dani Kunz grew up in Spring, Texas, just north of Houston. She played lacrosse for Klein High School and went on to play for the University of Texas Women's Lacrosse Club for two years. While at UT, Dani began her first of five seasons coaching for St. Andrew's 5th and 6th Grade girls' team. During college, Dani also worked as a Middle and High School lacrosse referee, and served as President and board member for the Capital Area Youth Girls' Lacrosse League. After graduating from UT, Dani coached one season for St. Edward's University Women's Lacrosse Club.
Dani lives in Southwest Austin, where she is a Physical Education Teacher at Patton Elementary School. She enjoys working with young athletes, and is excited to share her love of the game with a new generation of lacrosse players!
